The actual value of the pull-up is system dependant and a guide is presented in the I2C Bus Specification on determining the maximum and minimum resistors to use when the system is intended for standard or fast-mode I2C bus devices.

7.2Utilized Features

The applications processor I2C bus interface unit is compatible with the two pin interface developed by Phillips Corporation. A complete list of features and capabilities can be found in the I2C Bus Specification.
