Playback Controls

•Press the Pause button or the opposite skip/scan button (i.e. the  button if forward slow playback is activated) to pause playback at the current disc location.

RANDOM PLAYBACK

RANDOM

•The remote control RANDOM button can be used to activate random playback, which plays the loaded disc in a random order of titles, chapters, groups, or tracks. The table on page 4-12 indicates the random playback modes available for each disc format.

•Random playback is not available for Video CDs and SVCDs that include PBC menus.

•Random playback is automatically deactivated when:

–repeat playback or program mode is activated

–the remote control CLEAR, STOP, REPEAT, or PROGRAM button is pressed

Random Playback Modes

Title

Activates playback of the loaded disc in a random order of titles, beginning with the currently playing title. When the loaded disc includes just one title, activating random title playback repeats playback of that title.

Chapter

Activates playback of the loaded disc in a random order of chapters, beginning with the currently playing chapter. Random chapter playback includes chapters in the currently playing title. It does not include chapters in other titles. When the currently playing title includes just one chapter, activating random chapter playback repeats playback of that chapter.

Group

Activates playback of the loaded disc in a random order of groups, beginning with the currently playing group. When the loaded disc includes just one group, activating random group playback repeats playback of that group.

Track

Activates playback of the loaded disc in a random order of tracks, beginning with the currently playing track. When a DVD-A is loaded, random track playback includes tracks in the currently playing group. When the currently playing group includes just one track, activating random track playback repeats playback of that track. When another disc format is loaded, random track playback includes all tracks on the loaded disc. When the loaded disc includes just one track, activating random track playback repeats playback of that track.

Note:

Random playback is not available for Video CDs and SVCDs that include PBC menus.
