S-Video Out

S1, S2

Determines the trigger control signal present when the RT-10 is using the S-video output connector, providing control of anamorphic display switching. Select the S1 setting to enable automatic switching between 16:9 and 4:3 video output formats. Select the S2 setting to enable automatic switching between 16:9, 4:3 standard, and 4:3 letter box video output formats.

The S-Video Out parameter controls anamorphic display switching when all of the following conditions are met:

The RT-10 has an S-video output connection to the associated display device.

The associated display device is compatible with the selected anamorphic trigger control signal.

The loaded disc supports the selected anamorphic trigger control signal.

It is recommended to toggle between the S1 and S2 settings if the picture appears stretched or otherwise distorted on the display device screen.

Frame Search

On, Off

Enables and disables the time and time & frame search modes (4-28). When On is selected, these search modes are enabled for compatible disc formats. When Off is selected, these search modes are disabled for all disc formats.

Screen Saver

On, Off

Activates and deactivates the Lexicon screen saver. When On is selected, the Lexicon screen saver appears on the on-screen display when a still frame image has appeared on the display device screen for more than 5 minutes. When Off is selected, the Lexicon screen saver does not appear on the on-screen display.

Note:

Still frame images displayed on CRT display devices for long periods of time can "burn in" or create "ghost images" on the screen. When the RT-10 is connected to a CRT display device, it is recommended to set the Screen Saver parameter to On to prevent the appearance of "ghost images" on the screen.
