Setup Menu Issues (continued from page 5-9)

Setup menu parameter settings are cancelled.

1.Parameter settings might not have been stored if the RT-10 was powered off or standby mode was activated before the Setup menu was closed. If this occurs, all parameters are reset to their previously stored setting.

2.All Setup menu parameters are reset to their factory-default setting when a power failure (such as a power cord disconnect) occurs or factory-default settings are restored.

Note:

Whenever possible, power the RT-10 off or activate standby mode instead of disconnecting the power cord.

Setup menu parameter settings seem ineffective.

1.Certain Setup menu parameter settings have no effect on some disc formats (3-11).

2.If playback is activated, press the Stop button to activate stop mode. Some Setup menu parameters can be adjusted when playback is activated, even though the setting does not take effect until stop mode is activated.

Speaker settings seem ineffective.

1.Certain speaker settings have no effect on some disc formats. For instance, speaker size settings (3-19) have no effect on DVD-As and speaker distance settings (3-20) have no effect on SACDs.

2.Make sure the RT-10 and all associated components are configured with the correct speaker settings. RT-10 speaker settings do not need to be configured when the RT-10 is connected to an associated component such as the MC-12 Digital Controller, which allows speaker settings to be configured for analog audio sources. The associated component must not be using analog audio connections in bypass.

Variable output level settings seem ineffective.

1.Make sure the CD Digital Direct parameter (3-24) is set to Off. When this parameter is set to On, variable output level settings are ineffective.

2.Make sure the RT-10 and all associated components are configured with the correct output level settings. RT-10 variable output levels do not need to be configured when the RT-10 is connected to an associated component such as the MC-12 or MC-8 Digital Controller, which allows output levels to be calibrated for analog audio sources.

Test Tones (3-21) will not activate.

1.Press the Stop button to activate stop mode. Test Tones cannot be activated when playback, resume, or pause mode is activated.
