Playback Control Issues (continued from page 5-13)

A certain value cannot be added to a program list (4-22).

1.Program lists cannot contain values 100 and above or values that are not included on the loaded disc. For instance, a program title list cannot include a value of 5 if the loaded disc does not include title 5.

2.The program list must include at least one blank field before a new value can be inserted.

A program list is not stored.

1.Make sure a DVD-V or DVD-RW/R is loaded. Program lists cannot be stored for other disc formats.

2.Make sure the Program Memory parameter is set to On. When this parameter is set to On, program lists for the loaded disc are stored until factory-default settings are restored. When set to Off, program lists for the loaded disc are automatically deleted when the disc drawer is opened, standby mode is activated, the RT-10 is powered off, or factory-default settings are restored.

Program list modifications are not saved.

1.Program tabs automatically close a few seconds after the last command is received. When this occurs, all program list modifications that have not been previously stored will be deleted.

Program playback is in progress, and playback of a non-programmed chapter or track begins.

1.When playback of a program chapter or program track list is activated, playback of a non-programmed chapter or track might activate while the RT-10 searches for the next programmed chapter or track.

Search mode will not activate.

1.Make sure the search mode is compatible with the loaded disc. The table on page 4-12 indicates the search modes that are available for each disc format.

2.Close the disc menu. Some search modes might not activate when the disc menu is open on the on-screen display.

3.If frame + time search mode is selected:

Activate playback or pause mode. Frame + time search mode is not available when stop or resume mode is activated.

Make sure the Frame Search parameter (3-28) is set to On. frame + time search mode is not available when the Frame Search parameter is set to Off.

Some discs do not allow frame + time searches.

Some frames are skipped during frame-by-frame playback, or frame + time search mode does not find the selected frame number.

1.Make sure frame-by-frame playback or frame + time search mode is available for the loaded disc. The table on page 4-12 indicates the playback modes available for each disc format.
