To assign a new password:

When a user-defined password is assigned, that password must be entered before a new password can be assigned. When the current password is confirmed, the Parental Lock: Password Change screen opens on the on-screen display.

Note:

If the assigned password is lost or forgotten, factory- default settings must be restored to delete the password (5-16). Then, a new password can be entered.

1.When the Parental Lock: Password Change screen opens, use the remote control number buttons to enter the new password.

When a number is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the next character space. Press the arrow to return to the previous character space or the arrow to advance to the next character space.

2.When the new password has been entered, an ENTER button appears on the on-screen display to indicate that pressing the remote control ENTER button will assign the password.

Level

1 to 8, off(country code)

Assigns a user-defined security level, requiring the password before the RT-10 will activate playback mode when a disc encoded with a user-defined security level is loaded. The Level control has no effect when a disc that is not encoded with a security level is loaded.

Select a number within the 1 to 8 range to assign a security level. The 1 setting represents the highest level of security, and the 8 setting represents the lowest level of security. When a security level is assigned, the RT-10 requires the user-defined password before activating playback mode when a disc encoded with a higher security level is loaded.
