Digital Jack (continued)

The Digital Jack prompt is associated with the Audio1 tab Dolby Digital Out (3-12), DTS Out (3-13), and MPEG Out (3-14) parameters. Each parameter can be independently set for compatibility with the respective digital audio source. The Digital Jack prompt Dolby Digital Out, DTS Out, and MPEG Out parameter settings have no effect when the RT-10 is not using the digital audio output connector.

Note:

When the Digital Jack prompt is set to Not Connected, the Setup Navigator proceeds to the Exit Setup Navigator prompt (3-4). When set to another setting, the Setup Navigator proceeds to the 96kHz PCM Audio prompt (below).

96kHz PCM Audio

No, Yes, Don’t Know

Controls PCM digital audio output sample rate when the RT-10 is using the digital audio output connector. This prompt is not available when the Digital Jack prompt is set to Not Connected.

Select No if the associated component is not compatible with 96kHz PCM sources. The RT-10 will downsample 96kHz PCM signals to 48kHz before passing them to the associated component. Select Yes if the associated component is compatible with 96kHz PCM sources. The RT-10 will not downsample 96kHz PCM signals before passing them to the associated component. Selecting the 96kHz PCM Audio Don’t Know setting has the same effect as selecting the No setting.

The 96kHz PCM Audio prompt is associated with the Audio1 tab Linear PCM Out parameter, which can be set for compatibility with PCM digital audio sources.

Note:

The RT-10 always downsamples 192 and 176kHz signals to 96 and 88.2kHz before passing them to the associated component, regardless of the 96kHz PCM Audio prompt and Linear PCM Out parameter settings.
