Setting Speaker Sizes (continued)

Note the following:

The SW parameter determines the presence or absence of a subwoofer. Select On if a subwoofer is present. The RT-10 will pass subwoofer signals and LFE signals for which the corresponding Speaker Size parameter is set to Small to the Sub analog audio output connector. Select Off if no subwoofer is present. The RT-10 will not redirect LFE signals to other analog audio output connectors.

When speaker size parameters are set to Off, the corresponding speaker distance parameters cannot be adjusted.

The L/R parameter size setting cannot be adjusted. This parameter has a fixed Large setting to provide full-range audio output through the front left and right channels.

Because surround speakers must be the same size, the LS and RS parameters cannot be set to different sizes. When the setting of one parameter is adjusted, the setting of the other parameter is automatically adjusted at the same time.

Setting Speaker Distances

The Speaker Distance screen shown at the top of the previous page can be used to set speaker distances for the front, center, surround, and subwoofer speakers.

Note:

Speaker distance settings have no effect when:

An SACD is loaded.

The RT-10 is using the 2-channel analog audio output connectors.

The RT-10 is using the digital audio output connector.

To set speaker distances:

1.When the Speaker Size screen opens, press the remote control arrow to open the Speaker Distance screen.

2.When the Speaker Distance screen opens, press the and arrows to highlight the desired parameter.

2.When the desired parameter is highlighted, press the and arrows to cycle through available settings.

Note the following:

To determine the appropriate setting for each speaker, measure the distance between the listening position and the front baffle of the speaker. Then, set the associated speaker distance parameter to the closest available value.
