Password

Assigns a user-defined password that must be entered before the RT-10 will activate playback mode when a disc encoded with a user-defined security level or country code is loaded. A user-defined password must be assigned before the Level and Country Code controls can be adjusted. User-defined passwords are automatically deleted when factory-default settings are restored.

To assign a password:

When the Password parental control is selected for the first time, the Register Code Number screen shown above opens on the on-screen display. This screen can be used to assign a user-defined password.

1.When the Register Code Number screen opens, use the remote control number buttons to enter the desired password. All passwords must consist of four numbers between 0 and 9.

•When a number is entered, the cursor automatically advances to the next character space. Press the  arrow to return to the previous character space or the  arrow to advance to the next character space.

2.When a four-number password has been entered, an ENTER button appears on the on-screen display to indicate that pressing the remote control ENTER button will assign the entered password.
