Navigating Disc Menus (continued from page 4-3)

SACD, Audio CD, & CD-RW/R

These disc formats do not include disc menus. In some cases, CD-RW/Rs that include MP3 tracks also include an MP3 Navigator (below and 4-27).

Video CD & SVCD

Include PBC (Playback Control) menus that can be used to activate playback of specific tracks. In some cases, the remote control number buttons can also be used to activate playback of specific tracks when the PBC menu is open.

MP3

Include an MP3 Navigator similar to the one shown below. The MP3 Navigator can be used to edit the MP3 program list, activate playback of specific folders and tracks, and view the MP3 file structure.

1Indicates the numbers of the currently playing folder and track. The MP3 Navigator does not provide this information unless playback is activated.

2Indicates the number of the selected folder and the number of folders included on the loaded disc. The RT-10 recognizes a maximum of 250 folders per disc. It ignores all folders that exceed this number.

3Indicates the number and name assigned to each folder on the loaded disc.

4Indicates the number of the selected track and the number of tracks included in the selected folder. The RT-10 recognizes a maximum of 250 tracks per folder. It ignores all folders that exceed this number.

5Indicates the number and name assigned to each track in the selected folder.

To navigate disc menus:

The table on pages 4-5 and 4-6 provides a general overview of remote control commands that can be used to navigate disc menus. In most cases, the remote control button must be pressed while the menu is open. Otherwise, the button executes the command indicated in the Command Matrix that begins on page 2-15. In some cases, the command indicated in the Command Matrix can also be used when the menu is open.

The table on pages 4-5 and 4-6 provides a general overview of remote control commands that can be used to navigate disc menus. Some commands might not be available for all discs within each format.
