Programming Internet Fax settings

This program allows the user to set their fax unit to send or receive E-mails by LAN. In
order for your fax unit to communicate with the LAN E-mail server, you must program the
appropriate information into the fax unit.

components of Internet Fax

A fax sent over the Internet has three components.
Header
The header includes all routing information for the path your Internet Fax
followed from the time it was sent to the time it was received. The header is
automatically generated as part of the Internet Fax process.
E-mail
The E-mail includes the TO, FROM, and Date information.It may include
RE:(SUBJECT) and body text (E-mail message). The TO, FROM and Date
information are automatically generated as part of the Internet fax process.
However, they are based on information programmed by the user. The subject
and message can be determined by the user.
TIFF file
The TIFF file attachments are the “fax” part of the Internet Fax.The content of
the attachment is determined by the end user. The conversion to TIFF and file
handling are part of the Internet Fax process.
Menu Item Description
1.EMAIL SETTING These settings make your fax unit to communicate with
the LAN E-mail server. And let you can send and
receive E-mails.
2.SERVER SETTING
3.POP3 INTERVAL Your fax unit will access the server automatically
at regular intervals according to the POP3 interval
setting.
4.TIME OUT SETTING The number of minutes that the machine will try to
contact the mail server.
5.ERROR REPORT This report can be used to check whether Internet Fax
has been successful.
6.TIME ZONE Mail server use this time format to indicate when a
message is sent.
