CE Marking (Declaration of Conformity)

The product complies with the following EU directives:

89 / 336 / EEC, 73 / 23 / EEC and 93 / 68 / EEC directives.

This declaration is valid for the area of the European Union.

WAR NIN G:

This device must be used with shielded interface cables. The use of

non-shielded cable is likely to result in interf erence with radio

communications and is prohibited under the EU Directive rules.

The machine has been approved in accor d ance with Council Decision 1999/5/EC fo r pan-

Europen single terminal connection to the public switched telephone network (PSTN).

However, due to differences between the individual PSTNs provid ed in diffe rent countri es,

the approval does not, of itself, give an unconditional assurance of successful operation on

every PSTN network termination point.

In the event of problems, you should contact your equipment supplier in the first instance.

Note: The manufacturer should ensure that the vender and user of equipment is

clearly informed of the above information by means of packaging and/ or other

forms of user instructions.

This product is approved for DTMF dialing only. When directly connected to the public

switched telephone network (PSTN mode) pulse dialing can not be used.

(Pulse dialing may only be used when this product is connected to a PBX).

If an additional telephone is connected to FAX unit , the LF (Loa ding Fac tor) shou ld not be

greater than 30.
