Relay Initiate

Relay TX allows the operator to make one long distance call to a remote unit and

the remote unit will relay the message to one or more fax units in the local area.

With this function, you can save valuable time and telephone charges. This

function can also instruct the remote fa x machine to send an activity report to on e

of its One-Touch or Speed Dial location.

Note: If no One-Touch or Speed Dial Keys were set up, no reports

will be generated.

Procedure

1Select the Original Type, Resolution if

necessary and place your document in the

Document Feeder face down.

2Press the FUNCTION Key and press 8 to

select the Relay Initiate menu.

3The following messages appear briefly to

confirm your selection.

4Enter the destination fax number.

5Enter the 20-digit Relay Box ID.

6Enter the 20-digit password.
