Internet Fax

You can use the MINOLTAFAX2800 / 3800 T.37 Internet Fax to scan and send documents to a working E-mail addresses so they can download them at their convenience. The T.37 Internet Fax can transmit documents as TIFF file attachment through E-mail to other E-mail addresses. The TIFF file can be opened, and viewed by most image viewer.

You can program One Touch Dial and Speed Dial locations with E-mail addresses; you also can program a group list with a combinations of fax telephone numbers and E-mail addresses; you can send an E-mail to a location not programmed within the fax unit.

Setup

The T.37 option will communicate with your LAN E-mail server. The LAN E-mail must be SMTP and POP3 compatible. These setting are similar to those of popular mail clients such as Netscape Messenger and Outlook. In order to properly setup your fax machine, please request your E-mail administrator about the settings listed below, which are required in order to make a connection to the mail server

ACCOUNT NAME

This is the E-mail account name for the facsimile device.

PASSWORD

This is the password the facsimile device will use to log onto the POP3 E-mail server. The machine must be able to log into the POP3 server.

E-MAIL ADDRESS

The E-mail address for your facsimile device.

SMTP IP ADDRESS

The IP address for the SMTP mail server. At this time, the T.37 option can use DNS name.

POP3 IP ADDRESS

The IP address for the POP3 mail server. At this time, the T.37 option can use DNS name.
