qSetting Passwords
Before a remote module user can communicate with the Switch Card, the administrator must program a password for the remote user. At default, all passwords are disabled, and only the administrator password of
q00000000 is enabled.
Up to 100 passwords can be programmed into each Switch Card. This allows a number of different users to access the Switch Card at different times. However, only one remote module user can be connected to an individual Switch Card at any one time.
Programming Passwords
Procedure
1.Select Configure System from the Main Menu. The Configure System Menu appears.
2.Select Password from the Configure System Menu, and press ENTER. The screen prompts for the administrator password.
3.Type the administrator password (the default is 00000000) and press
ENTER.
The Password Menu is displayed.
