Installation Order
DIMMs must be populated in pairs and in the following order: #7 and #8, #5 and #6, #3 and #4, then #1 and #2.
Install DIMMs starting from the one having smallest capacity.

Mother board
IMPORTANT: Install two additional DIMMs for each group*1 because the server uses interleaved memory. If DIMMs of different specifications*2 are installed in a bank, the server does not operate normally.
*1 A group is a unit of two DIMM slots. Each pair of DIMM slots #1 and #2 (group #1), #3 and #4 (group #2), #5 and #6 (group #3), and #7 and #8 (group #4) in the figure is a group. (The symbols are also printed on the mother board.)
*2 DIMM specification is shown on the label attached to the DIMM as follows:
