2Dark background density

Has the image drum been exposed to external light?

 

Yes

Mount the image drum in the printer and wait for about 30 minutes.

 

 

 

No

Is the heat roller of the fusing unit dirty?

 

Yes

Clean the heat roller.

 

 

 

No

Is the contact of the cleaning roller of the image drum cartridge contacted with e

 

 

contact assembly properly? (See Figure 6-5 C .)

Adjust the contact of the cleaning roller to contact the contact assembly prop-

Replace the image drum cartridge.

Note:

After replacing the image drum cartridge, set the printer in the user

 

 

maintenance mode by turning the power on while pressing the MENU

 

 

key, and reset the drum counter. (Refer to User's Manual.)

Is the LED head connected properly? (Check connector HEAD1 (14P), HEAD2 (12p) on the Main board and PC connector on the LED head.)

Connect the LED head properly or replace the head cable.

Is the contact of the image drum cartridge contacted with the ground contact

 

 

properly. (See Figure 6-5 D .)

 

No

Check the ground contact of the image drum cartridge.

 

 

 

Yes

Check the connectors HEAD1 (14P) and HEAD2 (12P)

Replace the LED head.
