
Confidential Transmission
A document can be transmitted confidentially by using a mailbox that is established in memory of the product.
The transmitted mail will not be printed immediately, but will be stored in momory of the remote fax machine until being accessed by someone who has the proper security code for that mailbox.
1Feed the document(s) face down into the ADF.
2Adjust the document settings if necessary. For details, see “Adjusting Document Settings” on page 4.4.
3Press Menu and then or
repeatedly until “CONFIDENTIAL TX” appears on the display, then press Enter.

5Dial to the remote fax number using the number keypad.
To enter the number, you can also press a
6Press Enter. If you want to identify this operation, enter a proper name using the number keypad.
7Press Enter. If you want to send it at a later time, enter the time you want your product to send the document.
If not, press Enter without entering the time. The product dials and sends the document immediately after being scanned into memory.
8Press Enter, then the document will be scanned into the memory. The product returns to Standby mode.
