Memory Transmission

Documents are automatically stored in memory and sent to a remote station. Use this feature to send your documents to multiple locations. After transmission, the documents are automatically erased from the memory.

1Feed the document(s) face down into the ADF.

2Adjust the document settings if necessary. For details, see “Adjusting Document Settings” on page 4.4.

3Press Menu and then or repeatedly until “MEMORY TX” appears on the display, then press Enter.

4Enter the number of the remote machine using the number keypad.

To enter the number, you can also press a one-touch button, or press Speed/Status and enter a speed dial number including a group dial number.

5Press Enter to confirm the number. The display asks you to enter another fax number to send the document.

NOTE: A single broadcast (sending to multiple destinations) is available for your product, so the “ANOTHER NO.” prompt does not appear if any broadcast is currently set up and is not completed.

6To enter another fax number, select “1.YES” and repeat from step 4. You can add up to 25 destinations.

Note that you cannot use Group dial numbers for another fax number.

7To send to one location or when you complete the last fax number setting, select “2.NO”.

8The document will be scanned into the memory before transmission. The LCD display shows the memory capacity and the number of pages being stored in the memory.

9The product begins sending the document in order of the numbers you entered.
