Setting the Exposure

■Exposure, shutter speed and ISO sensitivity affects picture brightness and overall picture quality. Longer exposure, slower shutter speed and

higher ISO sensitivity brighten the picture. Adjustment of these settings

is available when you are using (PROGRAM), A, S, and M camera modes. You can adjust the overall image brightness by adjusting the Exposure, Shutter Speed and ISO settings.

■Overall brightness of a captured image may appear too dark if large parts of the framed scene are very bright or the background is much brighter than the main subject. Exposure compensation can be achieved by adjusting the Exposure, Shutter Speed, or ISO settings.

■Turn on your camera by setting the Power Switch to (CAMERA) mode.

Locking the Auto Exposure: AE LOCK

✤You can lock the exposure setting for situations where you want to darken a high contrast subject and

background. AE LOCK works only in (PROGRAM) and SCENE modes.

1.	Frame your subject using the LCD monitor, then press
	the AE LOCK (DOWN) button.
2.	Re-frame your subject if so desired.
3.	Press the PHOTO button halfway down to enable the AE	AL

LOCK obtaining clear focus on the subject.

■You may set the focus on a different subject.

4. Press the PHOTO button firmly to take a picture.

Note

✤After taking a photo, the AE LOCK is automatically

released.

Ajuste de la exposición

■La exposición, la velocidad de obturador y la sensibilidad ISO afectan al brillo de la imagen y a la calidad general de la imagen. Una exposición más prolongada, una velocidad de obturador más lenta y una sensibilidad ISO

mayor dan brillo a la imagen. El ajuste de estos valores está disponible al

utilizar los modos de cámara (PROGRAMA), A, S y M. Puede ajustar el brillo general de la imagen ajustando la exposición, la velocidad de obturador y los ajustes ISO.

■El brillo general de una imagen capturada puede parecer demasiado oscuro si gran parte de la escena encuadrada son muy brillantes o el fondo es mucho más brillante que el sujeto principal.

■La compensación de la exposición se puede lograr ajustando la exposición,

la velocidad del obturador o los ajustes ISO. Encienda la cámara colocando

el interruptor de encendido en el Modo (CÁMARA).

Bloqueo de exposición automática: AE LOCK

✤ Puede bloquear el ajuste de exposición en situaciones en las que quiera oscurecer un sujeto y un fondo de alto contraste. AE LOCK sólo funciona en los modos (PROGRAMA) y SCENE <ESCENA>.

1. Encuadre el sujeto utilizando el monitor LCD y pulse el botón AE LOCK (ABAJO).

2. Vuelva a encuadrar el sujeto si así lo desea.

3. Pulse el botón PHOTO a mitad de camino para permitir que AE LOCK obtenga un enfoque claro del sujeto.

■ Puede ajustar el enfoque en un sujeto diferente.

4. Pulse firmemente el botón PHOTO para capturar la imagen.

Nota

✤ Tras hacer la foto, AE LOCK <BLOQUEO DE AE> se libera

automáticamente.115
