Sony AIT Media Specifications

This section outlines the media specifications and recommended bar codes for tape cartridges that can be used in the Spectra 10000 library. You can only use tape cartridges that are compatible with the drives installed in your library.

Sony AME Media

Sony Advanced Metal Evaporated (AME) tape is specifically designed for use with Sony AIT drives. The tape coating consists of layers of pure cobalt metallization with a durable diamond-like carbon coating.
