AWG610 Arbitrary Waveform Generator User Manual 1-3
Incoming Inspection
Inspect the AWG610 Arbitrary Waveform Generator carton for external damage.
If the carton is damaged, notify the carrier.
Remove the AWG610 Arbitrary Waveform Generator from its carton and check
that the instrument has not been damaged in transit. Verify that the carton
contains the basic instruments and its standard accessories. Refer to Standard
Accessories on page 1–4.
This instrument was thoroughly inspected for mechanical and electrical defects
before shipment. It should be free of dents or scratches. To confirm this, inspect
the instrument for physical damage that occurred in transit, and test the
instrument functionality by following the Tutorials beginning on page 2–47. You
can also verify the performance of the instrument by following the procedures in
Appendix B:Performance Verification beginning on page B–1. If a discrepancy is
found, contact your local Tektronix Field Office or representative.
. Save the shipping carton and packaging materials for repackaging in
case shipment becomes necessary.
