The select function (see Figure 8-20) allows you to set the source that feeds portions of a QuickMAP. The user is allowed to select from as many inputs as the QuickMAP allows. An entire QuickMAP can be fed from a single source or multiple sources depending on the settings of the Selects within the QuickMAP.

Note: The amount of available sources is determined by the QuickMAP

and not the hardware configuration. For example: A particular QuickMAP has three source selects in it. This will require two input cards. The user is only able to select from three inputs (as determined by the QuickMAP) even though two input cards provide a total of four inputs in terms of hardware.

Selecting the Input

To select the input click on the button next to the input that you want to make active. The LED on the button should turn from gray to green. If a particular button is grayed out then it is not available for selection.
