does not respond to keyboard commands. Use a narrow object such as the tip of a covered ball-point pen. The system restarts, clearing all data in memory and overriding the AutoResume feature. See Chapter 7, Power and Power-Up Modes, for more information on the switch and AutoResume.

CAUTION

Do not use a pencil to push the reset button. Pencil lead can break off inside the computer and damage its circuitry.

Left Side

Figure 2-2 shows the computer’s left side.

External 3 1/2" diskette drive port This port lets you connect a 3 1/2” diskette drive for transferring data to or from removable diskettes. The Disk icon on the indicator panel and diskette drive LED glow green when the drive is in use. To eject a disk from the drive, push the eject button. A flap protects the drive when it’s empty. Refer to Chapter 5, Disks and Disk Drives .

Power Press the power button to turn the computer’s power on and off.
