Edit a Packet Filter

See Filter Rule Format, earlier in the chapter for a description of filter rule format. For information on filter rule options, see the section specific to the type of packet filter you are editing.

To edit a filter, replace an existing rule with a new one. Use one of the following commands:

set filter <name> <rule #> <permit deny> <new options> set ipxfilter <name> <rule #> <permit deny> <new options> set sapfilter <name> <rule #> <permit deny> <new options>

When you are finished, save the filter with the following com- mand:

save filters

Delete a Packet Filter Rule

To delete a rule, use the following command:

set filter <filter name> <rule #> set ipxfilter <filter name> <rule #> set sapfilter <fitter name> <rule #>

To delete all rules of a certain type, use the following command:

set <filter ipxfilter sapfilter> <filter name> blank

Delete a Packet Filter

To delete a specific packet filter, use the following command:

delete filter <filter name>

Save a Filter

Save your changes by issuing the following command:

save filters
