Configuring the !root account
The commands in this section control access to the supervisor account (!root).
Changing the command prompt
If you have more than one NETServer and want to differentiate between them, you can change the Command> prompt you see when you connect to the !root account. The prompt can be up to 20 characters long and must be enclosed in double quotes (“”).
Use the following command:
set prompt “ <prompt message>”
!root Access
This command allows the administrator to disable !root login through ports s1 to s16. If this parameter is set to off, the !root account may be accessed only through the external serial port (s0) or a Telnet session on an existing network connection. The default is on, which allows !root access through all
set !rootaccess <on off>
