Destination

This is the IPX network number of the network to which the NETServer needs to send packets.

Network

This is the network node address of the gateway, bridge or router the packets will be forwarded through in order to reach the destination. The format for the network node address is an eight digit hexadecimal address followed by a colon and then a

12 digit hexadecimal address. For example: 0200053B:00005892AF32.

Metric

This is the hop-count or the number of gateways that informa- tion must pass through before reaching the destination.

Ticks

This is how many clock ticks it will take to send a packet via a particular route. According to Novell, a tick is approximately 1/ 18th of a second (there are 18.21 ticks in a second).

Interface

This is the chassis interface through which the destination can be reached.
