tvxLowerBound
Specifies the minimum time value (in microsecond s) of fddiMAC tvxValue
that any MAC that is configured in this path uses.
Valid Minimum Abbreviation
fd pa tv
Important Considerations
A MAC uses its valid transmission timer (TVX) to detect and recover
from certain ring errors. If a valid frame has not passed throug h a
MAC during the tim e indicated by fddiM ACTvxValue, the MAC
reinitializes the ring.
By adjusting the tvxLowerBound value, yo u specify how quickly the
ring recovers from an error. The lower you set this value, the faster the
network reacts to problems, but the ring might be reini tialized when
there is no problem.
The higher you set this value, the less chance of frequent
reinitializations, b ut the network take s longer to recover f rom errors.
You can use this command to configure the same setting on m ultiple
ports simultaneously. When you specify multiple port numbers, the
system prompts you to choose the setting and then applies it to all of
the ports.
