This chapter provides guidelines and oth er key information about how to
use system commands to:
■Set and modify general system parameters. Important considerations
and options are also provided where applicable
■Configure management access to the system (through one of two
serial connection types)
■Configure management access through the serial port. (F or
information about commands for configuring an out-of-band
management interface, see Chapter5.)
