Fields in the IP RIP Display
Field Description
Advertisement Addresses
(3500and 9000 only)
List of available advertisement addresses. The list is used
for RIP-2 updates only if the RIP-1 compatibility mode is
enabled. RIP-1 always uses advertisement addresses.
Compatibility Mode
(3500 only)
Whether RIP 1 compatibil ity mode is enabled or
disabled (by default, disabled).
Cost
(3500and 9000 only)
RIP cost for the interface (by default, 1).
Index Index number of the interface.
Poison Reverse
(3500and 9000 only)
Whether poison reverse mode is enabled or disabled
(by default, enabled).
RIP-1 Mode Mode for RIP-1. If you disable RIP-1, the output lists the
state as off. Other modes are learn (default),
advertise, and enabled.
RIP-2 Mode Mode for RIP-2. If you disable RIP-2, the output lists the
state as off. Other modes are learn (default),
advertise, and enabled.
Route Aggregate
(3500only)
Whether Route Aggregation mode is enabled or
disabled
