DIAGnostic:RDISk:CREate < size>

Allocates memory for a RAM disc volume.

 

The RAM disc volume is defined for use only by the IBASIC option.

Comments

• The RAM disc segment will only be created after the System Instrument

 

has been re-booted (cycle power or execute DIAG:BOOT).

 

Based on the size specified, DIAG:RDIS:CRE rounds the size up to an even value.

Using all of the available RAM (MAX) for the disc volume segment will limit some functions such as IBASIC program space, instrument reading storage space, and full functionality of the Display Terminal Interface.

:RDISk:CREate?

 

DIAGnostic:RDISk:CREate? [MIN MAX] Returns the current or allowable

 

(MIN MAX) size of the RAM disc volume segment.

Comments

• DIAG:RDIS:CRE does not allocate driver RAM until a subsequent

 

re-boot. To get accurate results, execute DIAG:RDIS:CRE? after the

 

re-boot.
