•DMA Channel 1 and DMA Channel 3: By using DMA (Direct Memory Access) channels, the 5250 Remote Emulator Card can transmit data to the host at a higher data rate than 19,200 bps. If you select Disable, the 5250 Remote Emulator Card will not operate above 19,200 bps.
NOTE
Both channels should be enabled. Problems might occur if both are disabled.
•Base I/O Address: This is the Card’s address in the PC’s I/O memory. The address you select here must match the one you set with the Card’s DIP switches during the hardware installation (see Section 4.3). Refer to page 16 for the list of addresses you can choose from.

•Baud Rate: The data rate at which the Card operates, measured in bits per second. Selecting Modem automatically sets the 5250 Remote Emulator Card to match the data rate of the attached modem. When you use a
