5.3.1WIREMAP

The Wiremap function tests twisted-pair cabling for proper wiring. Your cabling configuration is checked for shield continuity, opens, shorts, crossed pairs, split pairs, and reversed pairs. For each pair, Wiremap displays the length.

The screen displays a graphical representation of the wiring in your cable,

where the near end wiring is shown on the left side, and the far end wiring on the right side of the screen.
