If input conditions go from false-to-true, the controller uses the AND and OR masks to determine whether to set or reset the DTR (bit 0) and RTS (bit 1) lines, or leave them unchanged. Bit 0 and 1 of the AND mask cause the line(s) to reset if 1 and leave the line(s) unchanged if 0. BIt 0 and 1 of the OR mask cause the line(s) to set if 1 and leave the line(s) unchanged if 0.
