Selecting the Reduction Mode

We recommend that you use Reduction mode with MS-DOS applications only (not Windows applications). Windows applications have a fit-to-page feature that is not compatible with Reduction mode.

To select the reduction mode, follow these steps:

1.Press the MENU button once.

❏The printer beeps once when it enters Menu mode.

2.Press the MENU button again.

❏The display shows the possible Reduction modes:

3.Press the button to select the desired Reduction mode.

4.When the desired Reduction mode is blinking, press the ON LINE button.

❏The ON LINE light comes on.

❏Printing in the selected Reduction mode is enabled.
