Always reset the ink gauge after installing a new BJ cartridge or a new ink tank. If you do not perform this operation, the Low ink warning will not operate properly.

The printer automatically estimates the amount of remaining ink by counting the number of ink ejections. When the printer runs low on black ink, the Bk indicator starts to blink, indicating that your printer will run out of ink shortly. Make sure you have a new ink tank available.

If you replace a BJ cartridge or an ink tank with a used one, the printer will be incapable of estimating the amount of remaining ink. Be sure to replace the BJ cartridge or an ink tank only with a new one.
