E.6 Connection Configuration: Static Mode
The Connection Configuration menu changes according to the Connection Mode
selection (item 1). This section describes Static mode. For Dynamic CAS mode and
CESoIP mode, see separate descriptions later in this manual.
To configure the Connection:
1. Select 1 to enter the Connection Mode. Use the <Space bar> to select Static
and then press <Enter>.
2. Enter the Bundle Connection Configuration data (described later in this
section).
3. Select 3, enter the Secondary IP Address, and press <Enter>.
4. Select 4, enter the Secondary IP Mask and press <Enter>.
5. Enter the Protection Switching Configuration data (described later in this
section).

Secondary IP Address 0.0. 0.0 to
255.255.255.255
In static mode this parateter must be defined if the redundancy
function of the bundle is configured as secondary.
The secondary IP address is only used for TDMoIP traffic, ARP,
and ping reply.
The address can be on a different subnet than the host IP address
that is used for the primary bundle.
Secondary IP Mask 0.0.0.0 to
255.255.255.255
