3.1.3 Syslog

The Vigor3300 Series supports a Syslog function to keep a record of abnormal conditions. The router will send Syslog packets to a Syslog server on the remote site. The administrator can observe any abnormal events from Vigor3300. In the System group, click the Syslog option. The Syslog web page is shown below:

Status

Click Enable to activate this function. The router will send system

 

log message for your reference. If you click Disable, the router will

 

not send out any message about system log.

Syslog Server IP

The IP address of the Syslog server. If a user assigns an IP address

 

of “0.0.0.0”, the Syslog function will be disabled. Then, Vigor3300

 

will not send Syslog packets to the Syslog server.

Syslog Server Port

Assign a port for the Syslog protocol.

Apply

Click Apply to save these settings.
