Section 6 Defining Connections

The next step after creating a new project is to define the connections. All PLCs and other devices that are to communicate with the Panel must be entered in the connection editor. To change or insert connections, select the Connection option from the Edit menu.

The following window, Connection List displays all entered connections:

When creating a new project for the C400-Genius Controller, a default entry with the ID, DD, is made automatically (connection to a GE Fanuc PLC via the Genius bus). However, the associated PLC type is not defaulted and must be specified.
