queries the VSS database; manages, browses, and lists the items of the VSS database.

SYNOPSIS

omnidbvss -init

omnidbvss -list session [-barlist barlist] omnidbvss -list disk

omnidbvss -remove session SessionID [—reference]omnidbvss -remove disk StorageID [—reference]omnidbvss -purge -barlist BackupSpecName omnidbvss -get session [-export_metadata Folder] omnidbvss -get disk StorageID

DESCRIPTION

The omnidbvss command is used to query the VSS database.

This command can be used to:

list sessions from the VSS database

list replicas from the VSS sessions and their details

export VSS metadata

remove sessions from the VSS database

remove replicas from the VSS database and from the disk array

initialize the VSS database

OPTIONS

-init

Initializes the VSS database. IMPORTANT: All data including sessions and created replicas is deleted from the VSS database.

-list session [-barlist barlist]

Queries the VSS database and lists all session IDs. If -barlistis specified, only the sessions using the specified backup specification are listed.

-list disk

Queries the VSS database and lists storage IDs.

-remove session SessionID [-reference]
