5. Remove the toner cartridge. If the optional envelope feeder is installed, you must

remove it before you remove the toner cartridge. See “Removing the Envelope

Feeder” on page 177 for instructions.

6. Take the transfer roller removal tool that is provided with the new transfer roller

and insert it under the orange/beige flange that is located at the left end of the

transfer roller.
