This printer is inspected and listed by recognized national testing laboratories, such Underwriters Laboratories, Inc. (UL) in the U.S.A. and Canadian Standards

Association (CSA) in Canada. Listing of a product by a national testing laboratory indicates that the product is designed and manufactured in accordance with national requirements intended to minimize safety hazards. IBM equipment meets a very high standard of safety in design and manufacture. Remember, however, that this product

operates under conditions of high

electrical potentials and heat

generation,

both of

which are

functionally

necessary.

 

 

 

Because the paper and toner used in the printer can burn, you

should take

normal

precautions

to prevent

fire. These precautions include common-sense

measures, such

as keeping

potentially

combustible

materials (for example, curtains

and chemicals)

away from the printer, providing adequate ventilation and cooling, limiting unattended operation, and having trained personnel available and assigned to the printer.
