Attaching the Mounting Bracket and Device to the Rack
Attach the mounting bracket to the rack as follows:
1Position the Remote Annex horizontally, facing forward in the rack.
2Align the holes in the mounting bracket with the holes in the rack.
3Insert the mounting screws and tighten the screws to attach the Remote Annex 6300 to the rack (see Figure

Connecting a LAN Using Ethernet
The Remote Annex 6300 supports three types of Ethernet connections:
Thin Ethernet, Thick Ethernet, or Twisted Pair (see Figure
Each connection type requires a different connection procedure described in the following sections. Connect only one type of Ethernet cabling at one time.
Make sure the Remote Annex 6300 is powered off before disconnecting or connecting the Ethernet cabling.
