Chapter 3 ROM Monitor Commands

ipx

This release does not support this command.

The ipx command sets several parameters associated with IPX booting and dumping. This is useful when loading the Remote Annex 6300’s operational image from a Novell file server. The syntax is:

ipx [–d]

The ipx command display looks like this:

monitor:: ipx

Enter IPX file server name [<uninitialized>]:: mars Enter Frame type, 0=802.3 1=Ethernet II 2=802.2 3=SNAP\

[802.3]::

Enter IPX dump user name [<uninitialized>]:: susans

Enter IPX dump password [<uninitialized>]:: ******

Verify IPX dump password []:: ******

Enter IPX dump path [<uninitialized>]:: SYS:\user\susans\

The ipx –dcommand displays the current settings for all of the entries.

The command display looks like this:

monitor:: ipx –d

IPX preferred load file server: “MARS”

IPX frame type: "802.3"

IPX dump user name: “SUSANS”

IPX dump password: <SET>

IPX dump path name: “SYS:\user\susans\”
