Receiving trafficannouncements
TA(traffic announcement standby) lets you re-
ceivetraffic announcements automatically, no
matterwhat source you arelistening to. TA
canbe activated for both aTP station (a sta-
tionthat broadcasts traffic information) or an
enhancedother networks TP station (a station
carryinginformation which cross-references
TPstations).
1 Tunein a TP or enhanced other net-
worksTP station.
Whenyou are tunedinto a TPor enhanced
othernetworks TP station the TP indicator will
light.
2 PressTA to turn traffic announcement
standbyon.
PressTA and TA appears in the display. The
tunerwill stand-by for traffic announcements.
#Toturn traffic announcements standby off,
pressTA again.
3 UseMULTI-CONTROL to adjust the TA
volumewhen a traffic announcement be-
gins.
Rotateit to increase or decrease the volume.
Thenewly set volume is stored in memor y and
recalledfor subsequent traffic announce-
ments.
4 PressTA while a traffic announcement
isbeing received to cancel the announce-
ment.
Thetuner returns to the original source but re-
mainsin the standby mode until TA is pressed
again.
#Youcan also cancel the announcement by
pressingSOURCE,BAND or MULTI-CONTROL
whilea traffic announcement is being received.

!Youcan also turn the TA function on or off in
themenu that appears with the pressing of
FUNCTION.
!Thesystem switches back to the original
sourcefollowing traffic announcement recep-
