Setting the FM tuning step
Normallythe FM tuning step employed by
seektuning is 50kHz. When AFor TA is on,
thetuning step automatically changes to 100
kHz.It may be preferable to set the tuning step
to50 kHz when AFis on.
1 PressFUNCTION to select FM.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until FM appears
inthe display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe FM tuning step.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL left or right will
switchthe FM tuning step between 50 kHz
and100 kHz while AF or TA is on. The selected
FMtuning step will appear in the display.
Note
Thetuning step remains at 50 kHz during manual
tuning.
Switching Auto PI Seek
Theunit can automatically search for a differ-
entstation with the same programming, even
duringpreset recall.
1 PressFUNCTION to select A-PI.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until A-PI ap-
pearsin the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn Auto
PIseek on.
A-PI:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn Auto PI seek off, push
MULTI-CONTROLdown.
Switching the warning tone
Ifthe front panel is not detached fromthe
headunit within four seconds of turning off
theignition, a warning tone will sound. You
canturn off the warning tone.
1 PressFUNCTION to select WARN.
PressFUNCTION repeatedly until WARN ap-
pearsin the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn warn-
ingtone on.
WARN:ON appears in the display.
#Toturn warning tone off, push
MULTI-CONTROLdown.
Switching the auxiliary setting
Auxiliaryequipments connected tothis unit
canbe activated individually. Set each AUX
sourceto ON when using. About connecting
orusing auxiliary equipments, refer to Using
