Using the Phone Book
ThePhone Book can store up to 500 names
andnumbers. Use the Phone Book to browse
fornumbers on the unit’s display and select
numbersto call. Names and phone numbers
storedin a registered user phone’s address
bookcan be transferred to the Phone Book, al-
lowingyou to fill the Phone Book quickly and
easilywith your contacts.

Transferringentries to the

Phone Book

Ifguest phone is connected to this unit via
Bluetoothwireless technology, this function
cannotbe selected.
Topopulate the Phone Book you can transfer
thenumbers in a registered user phone’s ad-
dressbook.
ThePhone Book can hold a total of 500 en-
tries;200 from User 1, 100 from User 2, 100
fromUser 3, 50 from User 4, and 50 from User
5.
!Withsome cellular phones, it may not be
possibleto transfer whole phone book at a
time.In this case, transfer phone book en-
triesone by one from your phone by using
yourcellular phone.
!Dependingon the cellular phone con-
nectedvia Bluetooth wireless technology,
thisunit cannot display the Phone Book
correctly.(Some characters may be
garbled.)
!Ifthe phone book in the cellular phone con-
tainsimage data, phone book may not be
correctlytransferred.
1 PressFUNCTION and hold until phone
usersetting (e.g., PHONE 1) appears in the
display,then press FUNCTION to select
PBOOK TRANSFER.
Afterphone user setting is displayed, press
FUNCTIONuntil P BOOK TRANSFER appears
inthe display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to switch to
thephone book transfer standby mode.
TRANSFERappears in the display.
3 Usecellular phone to perform phone
booktransfer.
Performphone book transfer using the cellu-
larphone. For detailed instruction on this,
referto the instruction manual that came with
yourcellular phone.
#Whiletransferring the phone book, transfer
progressis displayed. Progress status is shown
withcommon fraction. Denominator shows the
maximumnumber that can be stored and nu-
meratorshows the progress status.
#Tocancel the transferring process, push
MULTI-CONTROLdown.
4 DATATRANSFERREDis displayedand
phonebook transfer is completed.

Changing the Phone Book

Youcan choose to transfer the Phone Book
sortedalphabetically by first name or family
name.
1 PressFUNCTION and hold until phone
usersetting (e.g., PHONE 1) appears in the
display,then press FUNCTION to select
PBOOK NAMES.
Afterphone user setting is displayed, press
FUNCTIONuntil P BOOK NAMES appears in
thedisplay.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
changethe name transference order.
PushMULTI-CONTROL up to select family
nameand INV appears in the display. Push
MULTI-CONTROLdown to select first name
andNOR appears in the display.
