Pausing CD playback
Pauselets you temporarily stop playback of
theCD.
1 PressFUNCTION to select PAUSE.
PressFUNCTION until PAUSE appears in the
display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn pause
on.
Playbackof the current track pauses.
#Toturn pause off, push MULTI-CONTROL
down.
Using compression and BMX
Usingthe COMP (compression) and BMX
functionslet you adjust the sound playback
qualityof this unit. Each of the functions has a
two-stepadjustment. The COMP function bal-
ancesthe output of louder and softer sounds
athigher volumes. BMX controls soundrever-
berationsto give playback a fuller sound. Lis-
tento each of the effects as you select
throughthem and use the one that best en-
hancesthe playback of the track or CD that
youare listening to.
1 PressFUNCTION to select COMP.
PressFUNCTION until COMP appears in the
display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selectyour favorite setting.
PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down repeatedly
toswitch between the following settings:
COMPOFFCOMP 1COMP 2
COMPOFFBMX 1BMX 2
Selecting the search method
Youcan switch the search method between
fastforward/reverse and searching every10
tracks.
1 PressFUNCTION to select FF/REV.
PressFUNCTION until FF/REV appears in the
display.
#Ifthe search method ROUGH has been pre-
viouslyselected, ROUGH will be displayed.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe search method.
PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right until the
desiredsearch method appears in the display.

!ROUGHSearching every 10 tracks
Searching every 10 tracks inthe current disc
Ifa disc contains over 10 tracks, you can
searchevery 10 tracks. When adisc contains
manytracks, you can roughly search for the
trackyou want to play.
