devicename (PIONEER BT UNIT) and enter
thelink code (1111) on your cellular phone. If
theregistration is completed,
REGCOMPLETED is displayed.

ualthat came with your cellular phone for de-
tailedinstructions.
Note
Ifone cellular phone is shared of its registration
withanother User registration assignment, Auto-
maticConnection may not work properly.
Connecting to a cellular phoneTouse a phone wirelessly with this unit, it is
necessaryfirst to establish aconnection using
Bluetoothwireless technology.
!HFP(Hands Free Profile) is prioritized over
HSP(Head Set Profile) in the connection
viaBluetooth wireless technology. If con-
nectioncannot be established by HFP, HSP
connectiontakes place.
Connecting to a registered
phone manually
Selecta phone from the registration assign-
mentsto connect to the phone manually.
1 PressFUNCTION and hold until phone
usersetting (e.g., PHONE 1, P1) appears in
thedisplay, then press FUNCTION to select
oneof the phone user settings.
Afterphone user setting is displayed, press
FUNCTIONuntil the desired phone user set-
ting(e.g., P1) appears in the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectCONNECT PHONE.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right,the status is selected in the following
order:
Devicename—DELETE PHONE (delete phone)
—CONNECTOPEN (connection open)—
CONNECTPHONE (connect)
#Ifyour cellular phone featuring Bluetooth
wirelesstechnology has not been registered yet,
CONNECTPHONE will not appear.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to connect a
cellularphone to this unit.
Whileconnecting, CONNECTING is flashing.
Ifthe connection is established, CONNECTED
isdisplayed.
#IfAUTO CONNECT is set to on, registered cel-
lularphone is connected automatically. For more
details,refer to Connecting to a registered phone
automaticallyon this page.
#Ifthe connection failed, CONNECT ERROR is
displayed.Check the cellular phone, then try
again.
Connecting to a registered
phone automatically
WhenAutomatic Connection is active the unit
willautomatically establish a connection with
aregistered phone when it comes into range.
!Thisfeature may not work with all phones.
Ifyour registered phone fails to connect
withAutomatic Connection, use the man-
ualconnection method explained in Con-
nectingto a registered phone manually on
thispage.
!Thisfeature cannot be set for each different
userphone.
