Making a call by enteringphone number
Youcan make a call by directly entering phone
numberson this unit.
1 PressFUNCTION to select
NUMBERDIAL.
PressFUNCTION until NUMBER DIAL ap-
pearsin the display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up or down to
selecta number.
PushingMULTI-CONTROL up repeatedly
changesnumbers in 1 2 3 ... 9 0 + order.
Pushingit down changes in + 0 9 ... 3 2 1
order.
3 PushMULTI-CONTROL right to move
thecursor to the next position.
Whenthe number youwant is displayed, push
MULTI-CONTROLright to move the cursor to
thenext position and then select the next
number.Push MULTI-CONTROL left to move
backwardsin the display.
#Upto 24 digits can be entered.
4 Ifyou have completed entering the
number,press OFF HOOK to make a call.
Whilecalling, DIALLING is flashing.
5 PressON HOOK to end the call.
Theestimated call time appears in the display
(thismay differ slightly from the actual call
time).
Echo canceling and noisereduction
Whenyou are operating hands-free phoning
inthe vehicle, you may hear undesired echo.
Thisfunction reduces the echo and noise and
keepsa certain sound quality.
!Thisfeature cannot be set for each different
userphone.
1 PressFUNCTION and hold until phone
usersetting (e.g., PHONE 1, P1) appears in
thedisplay, then press FUNCTION to select
ECHOCANCEL.
Afterphone user setting is displayed, press
FUNCTIONuntil ECHO CANCEL appears in
thedisplay.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL up to turn echo
cancelingon.
ECHOCANCEL :ON appearsin the display.
#Toturn echo canceling off, push
MULTI-CONTROLdown.
Changing the ring tone
Theunit offers you to turn the ring tone forin-
comingcalls on or off.
!Thering tone you select for this unit has no
effecton the ring tone used by your phone.
Ifyou do not want your phone and this unit
toring at the same time, we recommend
youturn the ring tone of one or the other
off.
1 PressFUNCTION and hold until phone
usersetting (e.g., PHONE 1, P1) appears in
thedisplay, then press FUNCTION to select
RINGTONE.
Afterphone user setting is displayed, press
FUNCTIONuntil RING TONE appears in the
display.
2 PushMULTI-CONTROL left or right to
selectthe desired ring tone.
Eachtime MULTI-CONTROL is pushed left or
right,the ring tone is selected in the following
order:
OFF(ring tone off)—1(ring tone 1)—2(ring
tone2)—3(ring tone 3)
